Our rates are fair to everyone, however slightly discounted rates are offered for Green orientated projects, environmental groups, nature work - filming or survey, ecological charities or organisations, We love nature and do our best to work with it, GF-UK is happy to work in Urban or Rural locations; inside buildings or at building sites, in the woods, up mountains or over water bodies , also happy to work on lengthy projects away from my home here in Yorkshire.

GF-UK Originally began trading in 2014 as 3D FlyZone, operating Educational Demonstrations , Event Videography, Sales and running competitive drone events in the UK.

What is GF-UK doing to be green ? Utilisation of Renewable energy with Solar panels and battery banks to help power our drone operations, recycling & repairing within limits. Why use a helicopter when a drone can do the job cleaner , cheaper and safer, and probably better ? When circumstances allow we will give donations to help fund green charities locally and globally, doing our bit to help preserve this planet as well as to give a cutting edge quality service, these are our ultimate goals, so come and Join us in our mission to protect the environment and make a positive impact for all !

Bio - 2023 until early march 2024 - Pre Trading period; Iain Newby, that`s me.. I love to fly drones, for work and recreation , and Green Flight UK is my business as a follow on from my earlier 3D Flyzone business (Est.2014) , which in all reality was halted by sudden changes in the drone flying laws that were not only very overwhelming but confusing also. Fortunately , as years have passed the guidelines and laws regulating the industry have begun to find a happy medium and with more clarity, thus...

Attaining Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Qualifications felt essential for my needs in order to progress in this field , unlike so many , after 10 years flying UAVs I have the Skills and experience to give a class product and service but without the qualifications no one can gain from it, hence have now completed the two commercial ones; the A2 C of C for more basic commercial operation and the Specific Category / GVC certification for more specialised projects. The advantage of having both is that it allows flying heavier aircraft upto 25kg, say for example the need to carry a heavy weight payload, specialised filming , survey equipment or Lidar scanning equipment etc, or using high quality filming gear in built up congested areas along with the more standard aerial UAS operations , flight training or FPV filming (First Person View - this makes use of virtual reality like goggles to fly as seen from a birds eye view along with the help of a spotter crew member to keep Visual line of sight simultaneous to using the goggles ,this makes the activity very safe, and results in superb lifelike dynamic footage ) as a result many more options are now presently available with what GF-UK can offer.

Upgrading my present fleet of quadcopters and drones to keep up to date has recently been achieved to give a more diverse ability of operational possibilities to any projects undertaken. Much of my archive footage from mostly recreational activities is posted on the YouTube link provided, ranging from 2014 to now, always improving , and i dare say always can improve !
